Native Texas grasses. Large, drought-tolerant, perennial, dense stand-forming, rapid growing, tufted bunch grass with large, flat, smooth leaf blades to 2 to nearly 3 feet long and 1 inch wide. Beautiful flower spikes top the grass in summertime. Adapted to wetlands, and useful for erosion control, this grass is also a good wildlife food source, as well as, a larval food source for Bunch-Grass Skipper Butterflies. Zones 3-9.
