Texas and southwest native. Late season larval food source for Monarch butterflies. Grass-like slender leaves. Late summer blooms of creamy white flower clusters. Sun loving. Late emerging in spring. 12-36” tall. Tolerates clay, sandy or alkaline soils. Zones 3-9. Caution: Asclepias species are toxic to domestic range animals.
