Northeast Texas Native! Tall, unbranched spikes tipped by showy blue to violet blooms, late Aug. to Dec. Tiny green leaves. Great in rock gardens, well-drained limestone, sandy, or black clay soil. Native to grass-land and prairie. Part shade, drought tolerant. Full sun. Grows 3-4" tall and 8-12" wide. Zones 5-9.
